A legal notice is a formal written warning to another person or company: pay, perform, leave, or stop. Notarising it and serving it through a notary public gives you a dated record of the notice and of its delivery. Some laws require a notice before you can go further, for example Dubai’s rent law before an eviction case and the Civil Procedure Code before a payment order.

In person at our Business Bay office

Home or office visit
We come to your home, office or board meeting anywhere in Dubai. The government attendance fee is AED 1,000 per visit, not per signature.
How it works
- Send us the contract and the facts. What went wrong, what you want, and the other party’s details.
- We draft the notice. In Arabic and English, with the demand and the deadline.
- You approve and sign. At our Business Bay office, online, or at your home.
- The notice is notarised and served. Through a notary public, on the addresses in the contract.
- You receive the notice and the proof of service. Ready for the next step if the other party does not respond.
What makes a notice work
Clear demand, clear deadline. Say exactly what must be done and by when. Use the period the law sets where there is one.
The right address. Serve it on the addresses in the contract. The Ejari contract says formal notices go to the email and phone numbers written in it.
Proof of delivery. Keep the notarised notice and the proof it was served. The Rental Disputes Centre asks for both in an eviction case.
Legal notice cost
The government fee for a notarised legal notice was reset by Dubai Courts Decision No. 312 of 2025, and we quote the current figure when you ask rather than print an old one. Our own fee for drafting and service is quoted in writing before work starts.
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Drafting and service of the notice | Quoted per matter |
| Translation included in the instrument | AED 50 per page |
| Notary attending outside the office | AED 1,000 |
Full schedule, with the source of every figure, on the fees page.
Legal notice questions
Is a legal notice required before going to court?
Not always. It is required in some cases, such as eviction under Dubai’s rent law, a payment order under the Civil Procedure Code, and, unless the contract says otherwise, a claim for compensation for breach of contract. We tell you if your case needs one.
Who can serve a legal notice in Dubai?
Dubai’s rent law allows a landlord’s notice through a notary public or by registered mail. A notarised notice served through a notary gives you a dated, official record.
In which language is the notice written?
In Arabic and English. Arabic is the language of the UAE courts.
Can I do it without coming to the office?
Yes. We draft by email or WhatsApp and you sign online or at your home.
What happens after the notice?
If the other party does not respond within the deadline, you can take the next step, for example a case at the Rental Disputes Centre or a court claim.

Excellent notary service. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. They even agreed to schedule a call at a time that worked best for us, which was outside their usual practice, a real sign of their flexibility and client focus.
I am 100 percent satisfied with their true copy attestation, highly recommend.
I contacted this office for a notary today on Sunday. They processed my notary and I got my documents online the same day.
