Wills for Non-Muslim Residents in Dubai

A will for non-Muslim residents covering assets held in the UAE, drafted with you and notarised by our in-house notary public or at your home.

1 / 4

Who is the document for?

We notarise documents for individuals and for companies. The requirements differ, so this is the first thing we need to know.

How would you like it done?

Not every document can be notarised remotely. We will tell you plainly if yours cannot.

When do you need it?

An honest answer here helps. We will tell you if a deadline is not achievable rather than after you have booked.

Where should we send the answer?

You will get the instrument you need, what to bring, and the government fee. No charge for that.

No charge for the conversation. Please do not send identity documents here.

In short

  • In-house notary publicAt our Business Bay office
  • Online appointmentsBy video call, verified with UAE PASS
  • Home visitsYour home, office or meeting in Dubai
  • 24/7Appointments any day, any time

Non-Muslim residents can make a will covering the assets they hold in the UAE. We start with a conversation about what you own, who should receive it and who will administer it, then draft the will in Arabic and English and complete the notarisation with you.

What the will needs to cover

Your assets

Property, bank accounts, vehicles, company shares and anything else of value held in the UAE.

  • Title deeds and account details
  • Share certificates, if any

Fee Quoted per matter

Beneficiaries

Who receives what, named exactly as in their passports.

  • Passport copies for each beneficiary

Who will administer the estate. Ask them before you name them.

  • Passport copy of the executor

In person, online or at your home

In person at our Business Bay office

Meet our in-house notary public at Business Hub, Marasi Drive. Bring your originals and the document is signed and sealed in one visit.

Home or office visit

We come to your home, office or board meeting anywhere in Dubai. The government attendance fee is AED 1,000 per visit, not per signature.

Online is not possible for this one

We complete a will in person, so the notary can go through it with you before you sign. Choose an office appointment or a home visit instead.

How it works

  1. A conversation first. What you hold, who benefits and who administers.
  2. We confirm the scope and the fee. In writing.
  3. We draft it in Arabic and English. With every name taken from a passport.
  4. You read it and sign. At our Business Bay office or at your home.
  5. You receive the notarised will. Registered with Dubai Courts, with a verification barcode. Tell your executor where it is.

Decide these before you sit down

What this will covers. A UAE will for UAE assets can sit beside a will made abroad for assets there. Two wills that both claim everything cause problems.

Who administers it. Choose someone able, willing and reachable, and tell them.

Who comes next. Name a substitute for each beneficiary and for the executor.

Will cost

A will is quoted per matter because the work depends on what it covers. The government fees below apply to the notarial act. Our own fee is quoted in writing before work starts.

Will questions

Who can make a will this way?

Non-Muslim residents of the UAE, for assets held here. Tell us your situation and we confirm this is the right route.

Does it cover assets outside the UAE?

No. It covers UAE assets and can sit beside a will made elsewhere. Tell us about any existing will.

Can I change it later?

Yes. A will can be replaced. Tell us what has changed.

Can the notary come to my home?

Yes. Home visits are available 24/7 by appointment. The government attendance fee is AED 1,000 per visit.

Do I also need a lawyer?

For a straightforward UAE estate, usually not. If you have a business, a trust or assets in several countries, we tell you at the start.

Excellent notary service. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. They even agreed to schedule a call at a time that worked best for us, which was outside their usual practice, a real sign of their flexibility and client focus.
